Jim Stagg, VP of Service, Southland Industries

Southland has an amazing team of people focused on delivering lifecycle solutions for our existing-building clients. We are constantly working to provide the best technicians and project teams with engineering support and technology to solve the problems our customers are facing.

As Southland's Vice President of Service, Jim Stagg is responsible for strategically building the service business within the regional markets and at the national level. Overseeing the development of our service teams to provide the solutions that our customers are looking for, Jim is focused on helping to ensure operational excellence, while expanding into new offerings. His aim is to bring more value to our customers while cultivating growth within our teams.  

With over 35 years of experience in HVAC and controls installation, service, and retrofit, Jim worked initially as a technician and turnkey project manager performing installation, commissioning, startup, warranty, and service on a wide variety of project types. This provided a unique perspective across all aspects of the business. Throughout his career, he has held multiple leadership roles, providing technology and process transformations, creating cross-functional teams, and growing organizations to deliver new capabilities to clients.  

Jim is a NEBB Certified Professional in Building Systems Commissioning, holds a Texas HVAC Contractors License, has completed the MCAA Advanced Leadership Institute (ALI), and is a graduate of the Steamfitter Apprenticeship from UA Local 250 in Los Angeles.
