As Chief Executive Officer of Southland Industries, Jim Meacham leads all strategic company operations and the company vision anchored by the company's Board of Directors. Bringing his commitment, knowledge, and passion to his role as CEO, Jim drives performance across all divisions and teams, providing strategic direction through his extensive experience and technical knowledge.

After beginning his career at Southland as an intern more than 23 years ago, Jim went on to serve as chief operating officer, regional president, and as division leader for the Mid-Atlantic Division and Southland's National Division. Prior to his leadership roles, Jim was a project executive and project engineer. Throughout his impressive career, Jim has guided project teams to operate efficiently using the right information, scope, sequencing, and planning. Additionally, Jim is committed to developing and retaining the industry's best talent.

Jim's deep understanding of creative design and construction solutions has helped Southland consistently achieve successful outcomes on some of the most challenging design-assist and design-build projects, including the National Institutes of Health, Washington Headquarters Services, and the PTN2469 project at Fort Meade.

Jim received his bachelor's and master's degrees in architectural engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He has been a member of Southland's Executive Committee since 2016.
