As a Regional President at Southland, Jim Meacham oversees the Mid-Atlantic, Philadelphia, and Mountain West Divisions. Bringing his commitment, knowledge, and passion to his leadership role, Jim drives the performance of his region from project selection to construction completion. He also secures work that expands the company's footprint on a national scale.
By leading these regional efforts, Jim helps strengthen our in-house engineering, field expertise, and dynamic cross-functional teams. Leveraging those critical resources helps us better serve our clients and the complex projects we aim to solve with innovative, connected solutions.
Before being promoted to Mid-Atlantic Division Leader in 2018, Jim served as Division Leader for Southland's National Division. Prior to 2016, Jim was a project executive. Throughout his impressive career, Jim has guided project teams to operate efficiently using the right information, scope, sequencing, and planning. Additionally, with developing and retaining the industry's best talent top of mind, Jim also supports his teams with professional development and collaboration opportunities.
Jim's deep understanding of creative design and construction solutions has helped Southland consistently achieve successful outcomes on some of the most challenging design-assist and design-build projects, including the National Institutes of Health, Washington Headquarters Services, and the PTN2469 project at Fort Meade.
Jim received his bachelor's and master's degrees in architectural engineering from Penn State University. He has been a member of Southland's Executive Committee since 2016.
