As Southland's Mid-Atlantic Division Leader, Jim Meacham brings commitment, knowledge, and passion to his leadership role. In addition to overseeing the performance of his region from project selection to construction completion, Jim also secures work that expands the company's footprint on a national scale.

By leading efforts on both fronts, Jim helps strengthen our in-house engineering, field expertise, and dynamic cross-functional teams. Leveraging those critical resources helps us better serve our clients and the complex projects we aim to solve with innovative, connected solutions.

Before being promoted to division leader in 2016, Jim served as a project executive for Southland's Mid-Atlantic Division. Throughout his impressive career in project management, Jim has guided project teams to operate efficiently using the right information, scope, sequencing, and planning. Additionally, with developing and retaining the industry's best talent top of mind, Jim also supports his teams with professional development and collaboration opportunities.

Jim's deep understanding of creative design and construction solutions has helped Southland consistently achieve successful outcomes on some of the division's most challenging design-assist and design-build projects, including National Institutes of Health, Washington Headquarters Services, and the PTN2469 project at Fort Meade.

Jim received his bachelor's and master's degrees in architectural engineering from Penn State University. He is actively involved in ASHRAE and the Lean Construction Institute (LCI), and has been a member of Southland's Executive Committee since 2016.
