Jim Meacham

As Chief Operating Officer, Jim Meacham is responsible for all company operations, including the strategic direction of each division to advance overall company performance. Bringing his commitment, knowledge, and passion to his leadership role, Jim drives performance across all divisions, providing strategic direction through his extensive experience and technical knowledge.
Before being promoted to a regional president in 2023, Jim previously served a division leader for the Mid-Atlantic Division and Southland's National Division. Prior to his leadership roles, Jim was a project executive and project engineer. Throughout his impressive career, Jim has guided project teams to operate efficiently using the right information, scope, sequencing, and planning. Additionally, Jim is committed to developing and retaining the industry's best talent.
Jim's deep understanding of creative design and construction solutions has helped Southland consistently achieve successful outcomes on some of the most challenging design-assist and design-build projects, including the National Institutes of Health, Washington Headquarters Services, and the PTN2469 project at Fort Meade.
Jim received his bachelor's and master's degrees in architectural engineering from Penn State University. He has been a member of Southland's Executive Committee since 2016.
