Overview
Southland provided design-assist, preconstruction, prefabrication, and installation of full mechanical and plumbing systems for a facility upgrade. The project involved installation of 46 terminal units, a humidifier, and a custom Hunt Air air handling unit with a two-fan array.
Our Approach
The project was sequenced in two phases to accomplish the multi-floor upgrade of the 24/7 operational hospital. The work performed involved all three mechanical trades. Extensive pre-planning, prefabrication, and collaboration were utilized to limit the impact to the occupied spaces during the project.
Result
Prefabrication and just-in-time delivery were essential due to the limited space for material laydown. Overall, Southland successfully delivered this project and maintained client satisfaction.
