Overview

This cutting-edge data center in Irving, Texas, provides 24 megawatts (MW) of capacity, designed to support artificial intelligence (AI) while maximizing energy and water efficiency.

Edged, a leader in sustainable infrastructure, developed this facility to push the boundaries of efficiency and performance. The ThermalWorks waterless cooling system powers high-density computing and cloud services while eliminating water use and cutting energy consumption by 74% compared to traditional data centers. It is expected to save nearly 95 million gallons of water annually. Furthermore, the modular design supports ultra-high densities of up to 200 kW per rack with plug-and-play liquid cooling, delivering an average power usage effectiveness (PUE) of 1.15 across Edged's portfolio.

Our Approach

We completed the electrical scope of work to support Edged's high-performance infrastructure and sustainability goals. Our contributions included:

  • Installing all lighting and fixtures
  • Upgrading the building's electrical supply with new feeders and larger electrical gear
  • Installing feeders and branch circuits for new equipment and panels
  • Providing power for offices and general-use areas
  • Installing security and telecommunications raceway infrastructure
  • Delivering lightning protection and grounding to safeguard operations

Our work equipped the facility to handle the power and infrastructure demands of AI and cloud computing. It reflects our expertise in building complex electrical systems that support the future of sustainable data infrastructure.

Result

Completed in January 2025, the Irving facility is part of Edged's expanding network of data centers across the United States. Edged, a subsidiary of Endeavour, has nearly a dozen new data centers operating or under construction across Europe and North America, with a growing pipeline of large-scale projects.

This project was completed by Brandt, a Southland Industries company.
