Overview
The Portland Bottling Plant manufactures and bottles a variety of ready-to-drink (RTD) energy drinks using state-of-the-art automated beverage line equipment. The plant also contains offices for testing and facility management.
The 278,000 SF Portland Bottling Plant project was a design-build delivery of a new steam boiler and chilled, condensing water, and compressed air plants. Our project scope also included work performed on HVAC systems within the office spaces.
Our Approach
Southland performed extensive project pricing breakdowns through a conceptual estimating process. This helped to put the client at ease after a previous engineering study by another firm and resulted in a GMP contract.
Result
This project's schedule was compressed due to equipment being delayed and engineering of the pipe support system. Our team prefabricated the racks to make up for this difference, accelerating the schedule to deliver just-in-time.
