Sutter Health and the project team for 2506 Samaritan Court in San Jose, California were recently recognized with Lean Construction Institute's (LCI) Engineering Design Award. This award honors teams that deliver engineering excellence, demonstrate fit for use, and advance the industry through collaborative Lean project delivery.
The project involved a tenant improvement within a 3-story, 69,000 square foot medical office building. The new clinic and surgery center expands access to patient care in the South Bay and provides more affordable surgical options for the community.
The team operated under an Integrated Form of Agreement (IFOA), and the project was delivered three months early and achieved nearly $3 million in cost savings, with no lost time incidents.
