May 20, 2020 -- HITT Contracting has awarded Southland Industries and TCM, a Southland Industries company, their Annual Safety Award, which recognizes leadership in safety amongst their subcontractors. Considerations are given to those who go above and beyond in their safe work ethics and maintain a strong safety record. Recipients are determined through analysis of safety reports, including inspection reports from safety software, and observation of on-site work habits.
“This is a very big deal for us as your firm was selected from a call for nominations across our 1,150 employees and was then validated by our safety department and finally our Principal Leadership Team,” said HITT Co-President Jeremy Bardin. He continued to commend Southland and TCM for their safe work efforts on confidential projects in Boydton, Virginia and Quincy, Washington.
Southland has a robust safety program and continually strives for safety of quality and of execution capabilities.
Southland Mid-Atlantic Division Leader Jim Meacham said that the recognition was impressive and “speaks to not just our safety program, but our quality and execution capability as well. The three are intertwined and it has showed on our HITT projects.”
