May 10, 2019

Southland Industries, Union City Division recently accepted the 2019 Tom Guilfoy Craftsmanship Award (Mechanical Category) at CAL SMACNA's 53rd Annual Convention President's Luncheon in Ojai, California. Southland received the award for the Sutter Health CPMC Van Ness Campus Hospital, which was chosen due to the project's complexity, collaboration, craftsmanship, and the challenges of working at one of the busiest intersections downtown in a big city. This 989,230 square-foot, 11-floor OSHPD-1 certified facility has 13 operating rooms, 120 private acute care patient rooms, 26 pediatric acute care rooms, a total of 274 licensed beds, and 16 imaging rooms.
