In 2024, SMACNA named Bobby McCally, Vice President of Operations, as the 2024 Contractor of the Year, recognizing his exceptional dedication to advancing and promoting the industry. Seth Lennon, Communications Manager for SMACNA, recently interviewed Bobby to discuss what the award means to him, his personal journey throughout the industry, and why being a part of SMACNA has been so critical to his professional development.
"Construction is critical to our nation, and it's just going to continue to grow. I think the more we can entice people to stay involved in construction, we're going to need that in the workforce...The more things change, the more they stay the same, and it is really true in construction. It has not changed a lot, but the demand has been higher, and I think it's going to continue to grow," Bobby shared.
