Maryland Association of Counties (MACo): Winter 2023

Energy experts from Southland will be attending the 2023 Maryland Association of Counties (MACo) Winter Conference, "Hit the Ground Running." This in-person event will focus on county government fundamentals, along with deep dives on the important issues coming up in the 2023 legislative session. More than 1,000 leaders from all levels of government and the private sector will be in attendance.

On Wednesday, January 4, 2023, Maureen McDonald, Director of Energy Services, will be speaking during the Solutions Showcase, "Making Sense of Dollars: Funding Source Insights to Address Critical Infrastructure for Sustainability." Maureen will be providing insights on maximizing available funding sources, including Federal funds from ARP and IRA, to address failing infrastructure while addressing new carbon reduction goals in the face of rapidly rising energy costs.
