Texas Contractor
Featured in a recent Texas Contractor magazine article, "Crusoe Energy's West Texas Data Center Projects Showcase Speed, Scale, and Collaboration," our work on two data centers in Abilene and Amarillo/Claude, Texas showcases what's possible in terms of speed, scale, and project delivery. Together, these data center campuses will span approximately 9.5 million square feet and deliver 2.5 gigawatts of power once complete.
Partnering with Crusoe Energy, DPR Construction, and Rosendin, we're part of a multi-prime project delivery approach where we report directly to the owner, which speeds up the design process, mobilizes teams early, and helps to eliminate waste.
As the design-build partner for these facilities, we were entrusted by the owner to work quickly and divide and conquer tasks with other contractors to allow for more streamlined data center construction. This demonstrates how our relationship with the owner and other trade partners is based on trust, collaboration, and shared responsibility.
The third phase of the data center site in Abilene is expected to reach completion in December 2027, which is a timeframe that is unprecedented for data center construction. The Amarillo data center site is expected to reach completion in August 2027.
