Each year, the Austin Chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) hosts the Outstanding Construction Awards competition. Projects are judged on difficulty in construction, unusual construction techniques involved, final appearance, quality of the finished product, and timeliness of completion. Among 2024's distinguished projects was AMD Met Labs Phase 1, which won the interior finish-out 4 category.
We completed the mechanical and plumbing scope for a cutting-edge semiconductor facility for Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), in partnership with Rogers-O'Brien Construction. This 73,000-square-foot project involved transforming 2 data halls, 6 laboratory spaces, and office areas with state-of-the-art infrastructure designed to support AMD's AI research and development.
This project was completed by Brandt, a Southland Industries company.
