Mohammed Yassin

When I joined Southland in 2006, I was taught the importance of building a customer for life. I didn't fully understand it then, but twenty years later, I do. Our clients are more than customers; they are partners because we take the time to understand the why behind their mission.
As Vice President of Business Development supporting the west region, Mohammed Yassin leads Southland's business development strategy, while also guiding the company's national strategy in the manufacturing market. This includes overseeing strategy across semiconductors, battery and EV, aerospace and defense, life sciences, food and beverage, and general manufacturing.
Mo spent the first 17 years of his career in operations, progressing from project engineer all the way to project executive, where he learned Southland's business inside and out and gained a firsthand understanding of what clients need to succeed. He now leverages that experience to guide clients through key decisions early in a project's life, when that perspective matters most. Over the years, Mo has worked with some of the industry's most highly technical clients, building a reputation defined by a simple standard: he says what he does, and does what he says.
Mo has led Southland's life sciences market strategy across the company, working on complex projects for clients including Genentech and Gilead, work that has since led to expanded Southland business across the United States.
Mo holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida. He is affiliated with the American Heart Association, ISPE, and the Lean Construction Institute.
