Southland Industries' Mountain West Division was recently awarded the 'Safest Subcontractor of the Year' by The Nevada Contractor's Association for their work in strengthening the construction industry with an effective approach to safety that eliminates the potential for incidents to occur on the construction site.
Southland received an EMR of 0.49 in 2019, and zero recordable injuries reported for 498,860 hours worked. Additionally, the company also implemented a web-based program to encourage safety participation for all employees and to reduce the time spent by safety professionals on inspections.
