Overview
Greenhill School expanded its campus in Addison, Texas, with the construction of a new STEM + Innovation Center as part of the Growing Stronger Together campaign.
The 65,000 square foot facility was designed to support advanced STEM education through flexible, technology-enabled learning environments and collaborative spaces that strengthen connections between students and faculty. The project was delivered within an active school campus and introduced a mass timber structure, adding a distinctive architectural element to the building.

Our Approach
Our team provided electrical services for the STEM + Innovation Center, delivering a comprehensive power and lighting scope tailored to the building's advanced academic and collaboration needs. We installed underground electrical infrastructure from a new ONCOR transformer to dual 1200-amp distribution boards, along with a switchgear package that included multiple panelboards and transformers.
The project also included a 200-kilowatt diesel generator with automatic and manual transfer switches, exterior lighting, and extensive interior power and lighting systems, including cord reels, floor boxes, and linear fixtures up to 36 feet in length. Working within a mass timber structure, limited ceiling and underfloor space, and an occupied campus, our teams leveraged fabrication techniques to efficiently install receptacles, data infrastructure, and lighting while maintaining schedule and minimizing disruption.
Result
The project was completed in November 2023, delivering a modern, flexible learning environment that supports hands-on STEM education and collaboration. Our electrical installations provide reliable power, enhanced lighting, and resilient backup systems that support daily operations and future technology needs.
