Overview
Dallas Love Field Airport completed a multi-year terminal modernization focused on improving efficiency, passenger flow, and the overall travel experience in Dallas, Texas.
Phased over five years, the project transformed the airport by consolidating three original concourses into a single, centrally located concourse serving all airlines, while redesigning check-in and baggage claim areas. The modernization reduced the terminal footprint by 25 percent, preserved the character of the main lobby, and more than doubled available concession space, reinforcing the terminal's role as the operational and symbolic heart of the airport.

Our Approach
Our team provided mechanical, plumbing, and building automation system services throughout the phased modernization, supporting extensive renovations while maintaining active airport operations. We coordinated closely with the City of Dallas Department of Aviation, airline partners, and the general contractor to integrate modern, efficient systems into existing structures while preserving key architectural elements of the terminal. Through careful planning and sequencing, we delivered upgrades that supported improved passenger processing, enhanced comfort, and long-term operational efficiency, all while minimizing disruption within a transportation environment.
Result
The project was completed in 2014 and achieved LEED Silver certification, reflecting its focus on efficiency and sustainability.
