This modern hospitality project added a new lodging destination to downtown Portland's urban core.
Delivered under a design-assist contract, the 13-story, 120,000-square-foot AC Marriott Hotel includes 204 guest rooms and a variety of amenities, such as a coffee house, restaurant, lounge, and fitness center. The project enhances the city's hospitality offerings while providing guests with a sleek, upscale experience in a prime location.
Our Approach
We provided full mechanical, plumbing, and piping system installation services for the hotel. To streamline delivery and reduce onsite congestion, we maximized the use of prefabrication and leveraged construction technology to coordinate rooftop unit placement with precision. Our team also strategically planned crane picks and equipment installation to minimize street closures and reduce rental costs — key considerations for this active downtown site.
Result
The project was completed 10 weeks ahead of schedule and under budget, delivering a strong return on investment for the client. Additionally, the hotel achieved LEED Gold certification, supporting the client's sustainability goals and long-term operational efficiency.
