Southland Industries' Mid-Atlantic Division, Mack Global Engineering, M.C. Dean Inc., Performance Contracting, and Procter & Gamble Company were presented with the Project Excellence Award by Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) for their work on a Swiffer project. The Project Excellence Award recognizes the best project teams for outstanding delivery of capital projects. CURT's goal is to promote project delivery excellence while standardizing productivity metrics that indicate exceptional performance. Southland was recognized for their contribution on the Swiffer project which used a Lean Integrated Project Delivery (LIPD) execution strategy. The project was able to deliver on time with four lines ahead of schedule in a COVID environment, resulting in a 13 percent savings from target cost.
