Southland Industries Awarded Disney Grand Californian Hotel Guestrooms Renovation

Southland Industries, one of the nation's largest MEP building systems experts providing engineering, construction, service and energy service solutions, was recently awarded the Disney Grand Californian Hotel Guestrooms renovation located in Anaheim, California. In addition to Southland, the project team consists of Lombardi Contracting, WLC Architects, and TMAD Taylor & Gaines.

Southland’s scope of work includes plumbing renovations for the facility’s 1,019 rooms. The renovations will include the installation of new vanity faucets, sinks, shower systems, wet bars, toilets, and shut off valves. The hotel will remain open while renovations are made. In order to do so, no more than 20-25 rooms will be down throughout the construction phase, and renovations will not take place during peak holiday seasons.

The project ‘s design phase is currently underway. Construction began in September 2016, and overall project completion is anticipated by September 2017.
