July 2, 2020 -- Southland Industries recently announced the appointment of a new Division Leader for the Southern California Division, Joe Cvetas, a 30-year veteran of the company. Mr. Cvetas previously provided oversight as the Executive Vice President for Southland Energy and Envise as well as leading Southland’s Corporate Development and Planning Office.
Previously in charge of mergers and acquisitions and with extensive experience growing Southland’s strategies and goals, Mr. Cvetas will be leading up the Southern California Division. He will have responsibility for Engineering and Construction and the Envise building technology business. As an important market focus, the Southern California Division plays a key role in supporting Southland’s overall success and strengthening innovation through engineering expertise.
“I am extremely excited about joining the team as the Division Leader. Southern California is where Southland started 71 years ago and there is a great history and legacy of Southland in this region,” Joe Cvetas stated.
Throughout the many roles he has held at Southland, Mr. Cvetas has been involved in several of Southland’s most iconic projects such as the historic renovation of the Pentagon. Mr. Cvetas received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Design-Build Institute of America's Western Pacific Region (DBIAWPR). He has served on Southland's Board of Directors since 1990.
