Southland Industries Appoints New Chief Human Resources Officer

Southland Industries, one of the nation's largest MEP building systems experts providing engineering, construction, service, and energy service solutions, has named Lisa Hoffman Starr as Chief Human Resources Officer.

Ms. Hoffman Starr is a veteran human resources executive with a breadth of experiences in the function including implementing best practices to optimize the employee and leader experience. In her new role, Ms. Starr will be responsible for the expansion of human capital capabilities to support the execution of Southland’s strategic goals across all business lines.

Most recently, Ms. Hoffman Starr served as the Senior Vice President of human resources for Laboratory Corporation of America where she was responsible for the company’s human resources function. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY and a master’s degree in industrial labor relations from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
