With a design/construction team comprised of seven partners who signed a single Integrated Form of Agreement (IFOA), Universal Health Services used Integrated Project Delivery to design and build a $150M ground-up hospital in Temecula, CA.  The partners’ goals were aligned by guaranteeing direct costs, but requiring each partner to place its profit into a shared, at-risk pool to incentivize performance and value.  This environment fostered true innovation, trust, and collaboration instead of each partner protecting its own interests.  Hear from the major partners – including the Owner, architect, builder, and mechanical subcontractor  – about the structure of the agreement (based on ConsensusDocs 300), formation of the team, target value design, collaborative planning & scheduling, and data-based productivity analysis.
