“Unified Workflow: Using a Revit Model from Design through Construction”
Thursday, December 04, 2014

Unsure of how much detail should be shown in your 3D model?  Learn real life examples of how a design-build mechanical contractor has utilized a unified workflow to produce a truly constructible 3D Revit model from design through construction to save time and money.  This lecture will highlight how to setup personnel infrastructure to optimize software usage, describe the expectations that your design model should meet from a contractor’s perspective, and identify techniques to incorporate early constructability feedback to enhance design.  Through the use of a carefully planned unified workflow, the 3D design model can enhance your opportunities for pre-fabrication, utility racking, modular construction, streamlined coordination, expedited conflict resolution, and increased job site safety.

“Best Practices: Using Revit in a Unified Workflow”
Thursday, December 04, 2014

Learn how to implement all of your Revit knowledge in a way that can save time, money, and maximize efficiency throughout the life of a project.  It is time to take Revit projects to the next level by getting every trade involved to create models that can be used efficiently by all parties through all phases of a project, to support a unified work flow. We will demonstrate everything from project setup to modeling practices in Revit that lead to properly coordinated models which are constructible.  There will be a detailed breakdown of how Revit models are used throughout every phase of a project in order to show the importance of improving the quality of models from the very beginning.
