Southland Industries and TCM, a Southland Industries company, were recently awarded the Annual HITT Safety Award from HITT Contracting for work performed on confidential projects in Boydton, Virginia and Quincy, Washington. Considerations for the award go to those who exceed expectations in their safe work ethics and maintain a strong safety record with winners being determined through safety reporting analysis and observation of company’s on-site work habits.

Southland Industries’ Mid-Atlantic Division was recently awarded two Craftsmanship awards from the Washington Building Congress for work performed at the National Museum of the U.S. Army on HVAC-Piping and HVAC-Sheet Metal. The NMUSA is a new construction design-build project that was completed mid-2019 at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The project also won awards for metal panels, architectural millwork, terrazzo, and plaster.

Southland Industries’ Mountain West Division was recently awarded the 'Safest Subcontractor of the Year' by The Nevada Contractor's Association for their work in strengthening the construction industry with an effective approach to safety that eliminates the potential for incidents to occur on the construction site.

Southland Industries of Union City recently accepted the 2019 Tom Guilfoy Craftsmanship Award (Mechanical Category) at CAL SMACNA’s 53rd Annual Convention President’s Luncheon in Ojai, California.
The Mechanical Contractors Association of America recently recognized Southland Industries with its Safety Excellence Certificate of Commendation for recordable cases and lost workday cases incidence rates of 25% or more below the industry average.
The Sheet Metal Occupational Health Institute Trust (SMOHIT) recently recognized Southland Industries’ Jamie Devan (Division Safety Manager, Mid-Atlantic Construction) at its 2018 Safety Awards ceremony in Tempe, Arizona.
The Associated General Contractors (ASG) of Nevada recently recognized Southland Industries with “Best Safety Record (Specialty Contractor, Over 50,000 Hours)” at the 2017 ASG Safety Awards. Congratulations to Kevin Dunn and Scott Lindstrom on this outstanding achievement.
The AGC Safety Awards are judged in the spring of each year and winners are presented at the annual Safety Awards Celebration in June.
