Facility optimization is more than just innovative building management solutions. When it comes down to it, having an open line of communication among maintenance and operations personnel and facility operators is vital for a building’s performance.
When Envise was granted the opportunity to perform the Southern California HVAC Optimization Program on the Pomona Unified School District, they took it a step further and offered 12 training sessions. The course includes 11 mechanical training sessions and one cultural session.

In November 2012, Southland’s Southwest Division decided to expand its service capabilities within the local to the Las Vegas region and entered into the refrigeration and food service market. Our refrigeration and food service focus allows us to assist with an array of equipment such as ice machines, walk-in coolers and freezers, parallel refrigeration racks, fryers, and ovens, and has helped Southland Industries successfully serve more of the Southern Nevada region. With the addition of refrigeration and food service, we have now expanded to perform this type of work for convenience stores, restaurants, hospitals, and casinos.

2012 was a good year for the safety department. Southland reported the second lowest incident rate in our history and the lowest vehicle accident rate ever. We saw the team at Fort Hood recognized as contractor of the quarter with an award from the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). And, we have strengthened our safety team by promoting two employees.
