One of the most daunting experiences that stands out in my young professional career is the first day of my first internship at Southland Industries. I had held other jobs before, but none of them were even remotely related to my degree or my career path. Sitting in the first meeting where I met the company’s executives and my boss for the summer, I remember thinking that that summer was going to be a turning point in terms of my education and my career.

As part of Southland’s recent rebranding, our recruiters hit the college trail armed with a new recruiting campaign this fall. With the focus of the campaign being “Get Your Hands Dirty,” the campaign centered around the opportunity to gain hands-on experience that prospective hires would receive with Southland. This message was chosen because it highlights our primary goal for each and every student that chooses to take on a Southland internship or co-op experience.
