Vice President, Division Leader, Mid-Atlantic
As Southland’s Mid-Atlantic Division Leader, Mr. Meacham is responsible for the overall performance of the division, ranging from project selection through construction completion. Overseeing Southland’s National Projects, Mr. Meacham is also focused on procuring work that helps expand Southland’s footprint on a national scale. By leading both efforts, he is able to better grow and leverage Southland’s resources within both groups, and ensure projects are successfully executed with in-house engineering and field expertise. His demonstrated knowledge of engineering, construction, and how to best utilize cross-functional groups within the organization allow him to build strong project teams in both the Mid-Atlantic region and on a National level to pursue and deliver innovative connected solutions for Southland’s clients.
Before being promoted to division leader in 2016, Mr. Meacham served as a project executive for Southland’s Mid-Atlantic Division. With a career in project management that has spanned over 13 years, he has earned the respect of his peers and supported several different functional groups across the business. His experience includes guiding project teams to operate efficiently using the right information, scope, and best sequencing and planning. Always pushing the envelope, Mr. Meacham works to keep his teams motivated, looks for learning opportunities by collaborating with foremen and engineers, and adequately prepares for project challenges.
By identifying creative design and construction solutions, he has consistently achieved successful outcomes on some of the division’s most challenging design-assist and design-build projects. Mr. Meacham has played a pivotal role in notable Southland projects, such as National Institutes of Health, Washington Headquarters Services, and the PTN2469 project at Fort Meade.
Mr. Meacham received his bachelor’s and master's degrees in architectural engineering from Penn State University. He is actively involved in ASHRAE and the Lean Construction Institute (LCI). Mr. Meacham has been a member of Southland's Executive Committee since 2016.
