Southland Raises Record Amount of Revenue for Scholarship Fund

On July 27, Southland Industries' Southern California Division and Corporate Headquarters held their 5th Annual Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament. Southland Industries, through the Orange County Community Foundation, established the fund five years ago in order to award cash scholarships to qualifying children of Southland employees. Over the past five years, the amount of scholarship recipients has doubled, and over $300,000 in funding has been raised.

This year’s golf tournament was an overwhelming success, and with help from generous sponsors and partners, Southland was able to raise $52,133 for the scholarship fund which is a new company record. Joe Cvetas, Regional President added “I am extremely pleased with the amount of funding we were able to raise at this fun event, and I would like to personally thank everyone who was involved for their support, including our employees, vendors, clients, industry partners and especially our Gold, Silver & Bronze Sponsors.”
