Southland Wins Washington Business Congress Craftsmanship Award
Southland Industries’ Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) project has been selected to receive a Washington Business Congress (WBC) Craftsmanship Award. The WBC Craftsmanship Awards Program has been recognizing construction excellence in building trades in the Washington, D.C. area since 1956. Six of Southland’s tradesmen won the award in the Mechanical-HVAC/Sheet Metal category for their work installing massive sheet metal duct systems and prefabricated enthalpy wheel plenum panel sections in the basement of WRNMMC.
Congratulations to our winning tradesmen who are helping to make this project such a success: Rod Bates, Darius Canty, Robert Peliculinas, Marcus Tongue, Dale Werner, and Tony Wheeler.
The tradesmen will be honored at an awards banquet on March 26th at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.
