As organizations continue to evolve and adopt sustainable building practices, the governing guidelines that dictate these actions continue to adjust their requirements for organizations to follow. ASHRAE 90.1 and LEED publish two of the most prominent references and standards that are utilized in the design of a sustainable building. The most recently released versions of both of these standards have made dramatic changes to the requirements that architects, engineers, contractors and owners must consider in the design and construction of future buildings.
Justin Herzing and Jason Joiner from Southland Industries will be speaking at this event.
Don’t miss the opportunity to understand how LEED V4 and ASHRAE 90.1 will impact the future of design and construction.
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a voluntary standard that owners along with design teams choose to follow at the beginning of projects. LEED Version 4 has been described as the first major overhaul that has occurred to the rating system since its inception and has changes across all areas of the existing rating systems along with the addition of new rating systems.
During this presentation representatives familiar with both ASHRAE 90.1 and LEED will present on the upcoming changes within each of the documents and the potential impacts that it has to the design and construction of buildings in the future.
